Some Important Information About Honey Dippers

Beekeepers can use honeydippers to extract honey from their hives easily. There are many kinds of bee keepers such as the ones who simply just keep a single bee colony, the ones who have more than ten colonies, and the ones who use the extractors for extracting honey from more than one colony. If you are going to use a honey extractor, you must learn how to use it properly so you can get the best results. This article will be showing you how to use your new beekeeping equipment so you can maximize your honey yields.

Honey Dippers

The first thing that you need to do is to remove the honey dippers from the hive. You do not have to remove all the frames from the hive because some of the honey still cling to the frames. Just throw all the frames out of the hive, so you can easily remove them. Then, you need to locate the top of the hive. You should be able to find a valve at the top which releases the water or honey when you press a handle.

Second, you need to locate the bottom part of the hive. Usually, the honey combs are located at the bottom. To use the honey extractor, you should first locate the bottom of the hive and then you should remove the honeycombs. After that, you need to locate the 'pail' part of the extractor. It is located right beneath the frame.

Third, you need to place the 'pail' part of the honey extractor below the frame. After that, you should secure the handle of the extractor. After that, you need to turn on the power of the extractor. As you turn the power on, the suction on the handle of the honeydippers will start and the honey will be sucked into the large tube that contains the honey.

Fourth, you need to locate the cap of the honey. Usually, the honey will be sealed tightly when it has been picked. To easily remove the honey from the cap, you can use the suction of the extractor. You just need to turn the handle of the extractor and you will be able to remove the honey from the cap.

Fifth, you can also use the suction system of the honey dippers. The honey can also be easily pulled out if you apply pressure. However, there is a danger that you might get burned if you apply the heat to the honey. Therefore, you have to determine the temperature that is suitable for your hands before you pull the honey.

Sixth, you need to place the honey extractor on the table. Then, you need to close the cap tightly. The honey will automatically suck out when you close the cap tightly. Meanwhile, the hose of the honey extractor should be placed on the handle of the honey.

Finally, you need to pour the honey in the cup. Usually, the honey will be suspended so it will not drip. If the honey is already in the open, you can make sure that there are no issues in the liquid. However, it can still be difficult to pour the honey with the small container. Therefore, you can take help from the professionals in the industry.

In order to have more control on the flow of the honey, you can use some sugar to sweeten the mix. You can stick to this method until the honey reaches the bottom of the storage vessel. This is very important because you need to pour the hot and spicy dippers slowly. In addition, the dippers should not touch the heating elements. If you do so, you will get a huge explosion.

You have to remove the honey dippers after several hours. This process is very essential in order to let you control the boiling process of the honey. Besides, you need to avoid letting any leftover residue in the storage vessel. This way, the honey can stay as pure as the day it was harvested.

In conclusion, you have to buy honey dippers if you want to be successful in the honey industry. Therefore, you can choose any types of honey that you like from different suppliers. After you have enough information about honey dippers, you will certainly know how you can properly store and handle it.
